Corrections Policy

SWWrestlingUK (swwrestling.co.uk)

SWWrestlingUK is committed to accuracy, transparency, and accountability in our reporting on South West professional wrestling. While we strive to ensure that all published information is correct at the time of publication, errors can occur.

This policy outlines how we handle corrections.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

We aim to:

  • Verify information before publication wherever possible

  • Attribute sources clearly

  • Distinguish between confirmed information and commentary

  • Update developing stories as new verified information becomes available

Accuracy is central to maintaining trust with readers, promotions, wrestlers, and venues.

How We Handle Corrections

If a factual error is identified, we will:

  1. Correct the error promptly once verified

  2. Update the article clearly and transparently

  3. Add a correction note at the bottom of the article where appropriate

Correction notes will typically follow this format:

Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated [X]. This has been updated to reflect [Y].

Minor typographical errors that do not affect the meaning of the content may be corrected without a formal note.

Updates to Developing Stories

Professional wrestling announcements, event cards, and match results can change. When updates occur:

  • Articles may be amended to reflect new information

  • We will note when significant changes are made

  • Event status (e.g., postponed, cancelled, card change) will be updated clearly

Results & Record Amendments

If a result, championship lineage, event detail, or wrestler record is found to be incorrect:

  • The database entry will be corrected

  • A correction note may be added if the error materially affected reporting

  • Where appropriate, we will clarify the source of revised information

We recognise that independent wrestling records can be difficult to verify. We will correct inaccuracies when credible information is provided.

How to Request a Correction

If you believe an article, result, profile, or event listing contains an error, please contact:

📩 corrections@swwrestling.co.uk

Please include:

  • The URL of the content in question

  • A clear description of the issue

  • Supporting evidence or official sources where available

We will review all requests carefully and respond where necessary.

Editorial Independence

Corrections are made to address factual inaccuracies. We do not remove or alter accurate reporting due to external pressure or disagreement with editorial judgement.

Policy Review

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in editorial standards.
