CSF Wrestling returned to the Cheese & Grain in Frome for another packed night of action, featuring rising stars, crowd favourites, and a main event championship clash. From heated rivalries to chaotic multi-man action, the evening delivered plenty for the local crowd.
Jordan Sparkes def. Joel Redman
The opening contest saw Jordan Sparkes take on Joel Redman in a lively back-and-forth encounter.
Sparkes immediately worked to rile up the Frome crowd, while Redman fed off the support of the fans. Early exchanges saw Redman take control and even send Sparkes to the outside before attempting a high-risk top-rope attack — only for Sparkes to pull his legs out from under him and seize the momentum.
From there the match swung back and forth, with both men trading near falls. Redman hit a huge superplex that nearly secured the victory, but Sparkes managed to kick out. Sparkes mounted a comeback of his own as the pace quickened, with both competitors pushing for the decisive advantage.
Frustration eventually boiled over when Sparkes shoved the referee during the action. Moments later, with the official distracted, Sparkes delivered a low blow to Redman, capitalising on the illegal strike to score the pinfall and steal the victory.
Bullit def. Samuel Jacobs & Louis Basham
Triple Threat Match
The second bout saw Bullit face Samuel Jacobs and Louis Basham in a chaotic triple threat contest.
Bullit wasted little time asserting himself, clearing the ring early and taking control of the match. Recognising the threat he posed, Jacobs and Basham briefly worked together to neutralise him, using the numbers advantage to keep Bullit on the defensive.
Despite this, Bullit fought back with a powerful double clothesline that took both opponents down and brought the crowd firmly behind him. The momentum continued with a Snake Eyes and clothesline combination on Basham that resulted in a close two count.
The match quickly escalated as all three competitors traded big moves. Basham speared Bullit for a near fall, Bullit responded with a Claymore kick of his own, and Basham later landed an F-5 that also came close to ending the contest.
In one of the match’s biggest moments, Bullit attempted a superplex from the ropes, only for Jacobs to intervene and turn it into a powerbomb. With the action breaking down between all three men, Bullit eventually regained control and delivered a double chokeslam, taking down both Jacobs and Basham to secure the win.
After the match, tensions continued between Bullit and Jacobs. Jacobs attempted to attack Bullit with a chair, but Bullit disarmed him and stood his ground in the ring. It was later announced that their rivalry will continue at a future CSF event, where Bullit and Samuel Jacobs will face each other in a Tables Match this September.
Ax & Splash def. The Fox & Nathan Bain
Tag Team Match
Tag team action followed as The Fox and Nathan Bain took on Ax & Splash.
Before the match began, The Fox took the microphone to mock both the crowd and his opponents before revealing Nathan Bain as his partner for the evening.
Once the bell rang, the teams delivered an energetic tag match filled with quick exchanges and frequent tags. Axel repeatedly fired up the crowd, helping Ax & Splash regain momentum whenever The Fox and Bain attempted to take control.
The Fox and Bain leaned heavily on shortcuts throughout the contest, bending the rules whenever the referee’s attention slipped. Despite this, Ax & Splash continued to rally, with the crowd firmly behind them.
The match reached its conclusion when Ax & Splash connected with a springboard crossbody, securing the three count and celebrating the victory with the Frome crowd.
Armina Lily def. Rhiannon Jade
The women’s division was next as Armina Lily faced Rhiannon Jade. Lily entered to a chorus of boos, while Jade received a warm welcome from the crowd, even greeting a young fan at ringside before the match began.
The contest proved to be closely fought, with both competitors exchanging suplexes, strikes and painful chest chops. Jade kept the audience behind her throughout, but Lily repeatedly targeted her opponent’s face and eyes whenever the opportunity arose.
After a competitive back-and-forth encounter, Lily finally gained the advantage. Delivering her finishing move twice in succession, she secured the decisive three count to take the victory.
Eddie Ryan def. JJ Gale
CSF All Nations Championship
The evening concluded with a championship main event as CSF All Nations Champion Eddie Ryan defended his title against JJ Gale.
Both competitors were greeted with cheers as the crowd anticipated a high-level contest between two popular performers. The match quickly lived up to expectations, with neither man able to gain a lasting advantage as the momentum shifted repeatedly.
Gale attempted his signature flying cutter on multiple occasions, with Ryan countering the first attempt into a German suplex and later escaping another with a backslide pin. Eventually Gale connected with the cutter cleanly, but even that only secured a dramatic two count.
Ryan answered with a powerful pop-up powerbomb, which Gale also managed to kick out of, keeping the crowd on edge as the match reached its closing moments.
After a gruelling and evenly contested battle, Eddie Ryan ultimately secured the victory, retaining the CSF All Nations Championship.
Following the match, Ryan addressed the crowd and praised his opponent, saying that JJ Gale had given him one of the toughest matches he has had at the Cheese & Grain in ten years, before asking the audience to show their appreciation.
